Better Beginnings and the State Library of Western Australia provide access to a number of great online resources for kids.
These are free with your local WA public library card or State Library card!


Learning with Busythings has never been so silly! Discover a fun world with over 150 activities. Great for school readiness and younger ones starting out with online learning. 

Get ready to learn with Literacy Planet, a comprehensive literacy resource for ages five +. With this resourc e you can target specific learning areas.

The Story Box Library is a beautiful online reading room, a place where the wonderful world of Australian children's literature comes to life as stories are read for children via video clips. Peek inside the TumbleBook library and enjoy a world of animated read-along stories, puzzles, games and activities.
The OverDrive eReading Room just for kids provides a safe and easy e-Book borrowing experience for families with a WA library membership. Enjoy reading Caterpillar and Butterfly online by Ambelin Kwaymullina.


Enjoy listening to e-Audiobooks by downloading these  onto your own devices to listen anywhere anytime. If you are a State Library member, you may log in to Borrowbox here. If you are a WA Public Library member please login using the BorrowBox link on your WA Public Library website or use the BorrowBox app on your device to select your local library and login.

I always knew reading to my kids was important, but this has opened my eyes to how important and how much.
