Quack and Count

As seven ducklings play in the reeds near a pond, the author invites the reader to count each of the combinations that add up to seven. For example, when one duck slips down a muddy bank to the right hand side of the two page spread, there are still seven ducklings, but there are six on one page, and one on the other.

Count the ducklings on each page as you read the book.  Making maths fun in the early years will encourage your child to start school have a positive attitude to maths.  This will help set them up for future success in maths.
