Snakes on a Train

The conductor takes the tickets as the snakes all slither on. The tracks are checked. The whistle blows. It's time to move along. Hissssssssssssssssssss goes the sound of the train.

Encourage your child to join in with making the sound of the train and the snakes as you read this book together.  Making animal noises helps children to hear and say the sounds that make up real words.  Being able to hear the smaller sounds that make up words will help your child get ready to sound out words when they start to learn to read themselves.
